How To Make Easy Paper OWL

3D Origami: Paper Owl Tutorial
3D origami is a type of origami in which the item is constructed from many pieces of paper folded in the same manner. Each artwork is made up of dozens of triangular-shaped elements that appear to be one undulating structure from a distance. The smart structural components are what keep it together.
But keep in mind that this kind of origami is time-consuming! Don't expect to finish a sculpture in less than 50 minutes. Overall, it can take anywhere from an hour to more than a week, depending on the number of components used and the size of the sculpture!
We'll show you how to make a small paper owl using the 3D origami technique in this guide.
Materials needed:
Instruction:
Step 1: Preparing the origami paper
1.1. Choose three or four different colored origami papers for the owl's body and eyes/beak.
1.2. Cut the paper into smaller squares measuring 1.5 x 1.5 inches (3.8 x 3.8 cm) using scissors and a ruler.
Step 2: Folding the triangular units
2.1. Take one square piece of paper.
2.2. Fold the square in half, creating a rectangle.
2.3. Fold the rectangle in half, forming a square.
2.4. Unfold the paper back to a rectangle.
2.5. Fold the top left corner down to the bottom edge, creating a triangle.
2.6. Fold the top right corner down to the bottom edge, creating another triangle.
2.7. Fold the bottom left corner up to the top edge, forming a small triangle.
2.8. Fold the bottom right corner up to the top edge, forming another small triangle.
2.9. Fold the small triangles inward, tucking them under the larger triangles.
2.10. Press the folds firmly to create a triangular unit.
2.11. Repeat steps 2.1 to 2.10 to create around 260 triangular units.
In our case: 3 orange, 6 black, 140 green, 108 white units
Step 3: Building the owl's body
3.1. Begin by connecting the triangular units by sliding the flaps of one unit into the pockets of another.
3.2. Continue connecting the units to form a row of 15 units for the base.
3.3. Add another layer on top of the first row, staggering the units and maintaining the shape of an owl.
3.4. Build up the body, decreasing the number of units per row as you progress upwards.
3.5. Once the body reaches the desired height, start shaping the head by creating a curved, semi-spherical shape.3.6. Ensure that the body and head are stable and well-connected.

Step 4: Creating the eyes and beak
4.1. Use the second (or third) colored origami paper
4.2. Attach two units together to form the base of the eye.
4.3. Build the eye shape by adding a third unit on top, centered between the two base units.
4.4. Repeat steps 4.2 and 4.3 to create the second eye.
4.5. For the beak, connect three units in a row.
4.6. Attach the beak to the face by sliding the flaps of the beak's units into the pockets of the face units.
Step 6: Finishing the owl
6.1. Make any necessary adjustments to the shape of the owl, ensuring it is well-formed and stable.

Congratulations! You have now created a 3D origami paper owl.
